It is indeed a day of trouble for the dear people of Newtown, Connecticut and all of America. A horrendous tragedy. Our hearts and prayers go out to all the grieving families. We in Canada weep with you. Yahweh is good and mighty to heal for all who take refuge in Him. Amen
I agree with Jillie at this moment the families and the community in Newtown, Ct need our prayers and only God Almighty knows just how to restore and bring healing. I tried to make sense of what happen and I can’t even imagine how these parents feel or what they are thinking. But I know my God can do more and so let’s remember to keep them in our prayers not just today but in the coming days. For it’s going to be very hard for these families to even think about Christmas. God be with them and with us all.
I know what you mean, Desiray – there is absolutely no making sense of this, no matter how you look at it. I agree with you – prayers for the weeks and months to come will be much-needed.
Your scripture is exactly where I have hung out so often. The prophets, with their words and wisdom and everyday life-styles/reality, of course had no idea we’d be so focused on their Words thousands of years later. And still needing them. Yahweh IS a Stronghold in the day of trouble…. and there are a LOT of those. Can’t be anything besides grateful!!! Thanks.
One of my favorite verses and such a comfort.
And interestingly I chose this verse for personal reasons, before the tragedy struck yesterday. God’s timing and His comfort are always on cue.
isn’t that a wonder? He never ceases to amaze.
Amen.

Thank you, Jillie. It is a comfort to know the whole world is mourning with us in this.
Such a needed verse in these horrific times. Thanks so much for sharing, Michelle!
Blessings!

God be with them and with us all – yes. Amen.
Wow, what a “right now” WORD – after such a tragic event on yesterday. The prayers of the righteous availeth much! God is truly a stronghold.
Loved this. Saw on Facebook earlier, too. And He really is good. He is good. He is good. He is good.
Such a solid, life-giving verse in the midst of shaky, uncertain events. And the beauty of the photo puts it all right over the top. Thank you .
To know, always and in anything, that He is good is our peace and our joy.

HE is a good one to take refuge in. We need the calm the peace and the refuge only HE can give.
