Hear It, Use It: Come Back Wednesday!

Poor planning on my part, but we are launching the (in)ked Online Writers’ Group Fall session here tomorrow, so I’ve had to postpone #HearItUseIt to Wednesday. I apologize for the inconvenience, especially to all you Type-A’s who came by at 8 p.m. sharp to link up your post!

Would a pretty picture help? I mean really, you can’t be crabby for long with this cute little seed-ball-thingy staring you in the face, am I right?

Huh. This is actually pretty perfect for me (yes, I know–that’s like being a little pregnant or sort of dead) because my post won’t run until Tuesday.

Tentatively, I like the idea. I fear there might be challenges for both of us; more for you that for me. I have been very spiritual for a long time, but it’s not what you think. I’ve been a practicing Buddhist for over forty-six years. I encourage all my friends – even the non-believers at Zero State – to find their spirituality. Without that we cease to grow. Anyway, I’ll leave the decision to you.

As they say down here in Ecuador, “Chevere!” I think I’ve over-commited to a bunch of stuff. We’re going to have a lot of fun. Thank you, Michelle.

Living out faith in the everyday is no joke. If you’re anything like me, some days you feel full of confidence and hope, eager to proclaim God’s goodness and love to the world. Other days…not so much.

Let me say straight up: I wrestle with my faith. Most days I feel a little bit like Jacob, wrangling his blessing out of God. And most days I’m okay with that. I believe God made me a questioner and a wrestler for a reason, and I believe one of those reasons is so that I can connect more authentically with others.
